Who We Are
Maureen Bartlett, CEO and Founder
Maureen is the owner and operator of Encore Beauty, a boutique cosmetics importer and training facility. Residing in Pitt Town, she is passionate about the Hawkesbury area and it’s residents. She started SPIN Hawkesbury in April 2016 to assist the people of the Hawkesbury with a hand up, not a hand out.
“ I am in a great place right now with a wonderfully supportive family and loving husband, however my life has been a life of experiences good and bad (sometimes very bad). When I was at my lowest, I was lucky to be supported and nurtured by great friends. This charity was my vehicle to pay it forward. I am now supported by a wonderful Board and Committee, and our dream is to spread this concept which will enhance and enrich more lives!”
Maureen has over 25 years of volunteer experience with various organisations and brings immense passion to her charity work.
Stacy Jenkinson, Director
Stacy owns and operates Prismatic Production and Prismatic Events, with a team that deliver services in lighting, audio and management for events. Based in Bowen Mountain, Stacy wants to support the Hawkesbury in the growth and prosperity that we can achieve if we work together.
"We live in an amazing and unique area, where we can benefit from being the melting pot of diverse people and landscape; where else is National Park, rural and city landscapes so intertwined. But the only way to move forward and reach our full potential as a community is by combining team work and determination, along with a philosophy that no person should be left behind."
Sharon Turnbull, Director
Sharon is a star of the local disability employment sector, based in Richmond. Sharon is a strong advocate for the differently-able community in the Hawkesbury and through her work both professionally and in charities, advocates for inclusion and support for each individual to achieve their full potential and fulfilment in their lives.
We are currently looking for Committee members to join us. If you want to make a difference in your local community, and have some fun while doing it, please contact us on 02 9686 3499 during business hours Mon-Fri.
If you can’t commit to joining our Committee, we are always looking for volunteers to help us, particularly in the lead up to events. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering for SPIN.
